Aurora Organic Dairy Plans to Build a Plant in Columbia
The
company announced USD90 million plant in Missouri

company, that produces organic milk and butter, has confirmed its plans to
build a plant in northeast Columbia, which would eventually create 150 new jobs
for the people. On Tuesday, Aurora Organic Dairy and the Department of Economic
Development announced that the Platteville, Colorado-based company, will build
a USD90 million plant which is expected to create more than 90 jobs initially
and up to 150 in the next five years. Aurora Organic Dairy will begin site
preparation during this spring and be fully operational in 2019. Aurora will also
receive a 75 percent abatement of real and personal property tax for 10 years
and will pay an estimated USD1.7 million in property taxes during that time.
TechSci Research depicts
that the new plant in Missouri is set to increase its production capacity. This
is the company’s second milk plant in Columbia. This plan will also benefit the
company in increasing its presence in the local as well as country’s organic
dairy market.

dominated by organic drinking milk segment.
