Indian FMCG company, Dabur, to bring Sri Lankan brand in Indian
ayurvedic beauty segment
India: Dabur Ayurvedic and Natural Health Care Company, which
is India’s leading FMCG Companies, is planning to bring Sri Lankan ayurvedic beauty
brand, Spice Island to India, in its beauty retail venture, NewU.
The brand, Spice Island, will be debuted
exclusively at NewU outlets, which will consist of various range of premium
skin care, body & bath care as well as hair care products. The brand’s
product range will include shampoos, body butter, day cream, night cream,
shower gels and body lotion. These products are priced in the range of around
USD10 (Rs649) to USD22 (Rs1,399).
TechSci Research depicts that in the last
few years, ayurvedic beauty segment in the Indian market has gained momentum
and is continuously strengthening its roots in Urban and local communities.
Spice Island will be able to cater aspirations of the modern-day consumer and further
establish NewU as one of the preferred destination for all ayurvedic beauty
care needs of the Indian consumer.

Ayurvedic nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. India Ayurvedic products
market is dominated by Ayurvedic personal care products segment, which had a
