Primus Green Energy Announces Plans to Build Methanol Production Facility
United
States: Primus
Green Energy, a leading US based gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology developer, has
announced plans to build methanol production plant in the Marcellus shale
region by the end of 2017. The manufacturing facility, which is based on a
modular design, would have the capacity to produce 160 Metric Tons of methanol
on a daily basis. Post the completion of the planned project, the company plans
to increase the installed production capacity of the plant to 640 Metric Tons
per day. Modular GTL systems of Primus Green Energy would convert the Marcellus
feedstock into methanol at the same location, thereby bringing down the
production and transportation costs for its clients. The technology provided by
the company offers cost effective solutions to its clients for production of
methanol as well as gasoline.
TechSci Research depicts that incorporation of modular GTL systems would
provide stable and lucrative avenues for local gasoline and methanol producers
in the United States, thereby safeguarding the energy demands and steering the
fuel additives market in the country.
According to TechSci Research report, “United States Fuel Additives
Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020”, US fuel
additives market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 6% during 2015-20. The
US fuel additives market is expected to witness promising growth over the next
five years on account of rising demand for cleaner fuels and growing consumer
preference towards fuel efficient vehicles. In particular, the use of fuel
additives for application in gasoline is expected to grow in the US over the
course of next five years.
