MediaTek Boosts Flagship 5G Smartphones Performance Further with the Dimensity 9200+ Chipset
With the recent release of
its flagship 5G smartphone Dimensity 9200+ chipset, MediaTek has increased the
scope of its dimensity portfolio. For improved gameplay and longer battery
life, this new product improves overall performance while preserving power
efficiency. The Dimensity 9200+ chipset includes one ultra-core Arm Cortex-X3
operating at up to 3.35GHz, three Arm Cortex-A715 super-corers operating at up
to 3.0GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A510 efficiency corers operating at 2.0GHz. It
supports faster clock rates than its predecessor, the Dimensity 9200 chipset.
The Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU in the Dimensity 9200+ chipset was increased by
MediaTek by 17% to provide the device an additional boost for gaming and other
computationally demanding tasks.
A 4CC-CA 5G Release-16 modem
in the Dimensity 9200+ seamlessly changes between super-fast mmWave connections
and long-reach sub-6GHz connections. Along with Bluetooth 5.3, the chipset also
supports Wi-Fi 7 2x2 + 2x2 with a maximum transfer throughput of 6.5Gbps. With
incredibly low latency and without interference, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth low energy
(LE) audio, and wireless peripherals may all connect simultaneously with the
help of MediaTek's coexistence technology.
The HyperEngine 6.0 on the
Dimensity 9200+ improves the gaming experience by utilizing adaptive
performance technologies to sustain high frame rates while reducing latency.
Sixth-generation AI Processing Unit (APU) 690 in the chipset effectively
handles AI noise reduction and AI super resolution functions, resulting in
cinematic films with real-time focus and Bokeh changes. Captivating capture is
supported by the MediaTek Imagiq 890, a potent flagship image signal processor
that produces brilliant, clear photographs and videos even in low-light
conditions. For a smooth user experience, the chipset also has MediaTek
MiraVision 890 display technology with adjustable refresh rate and motion blur
reduction. With MediaTek's 5G UltraSave 3.0 power-saving technology, battery
life is maximized under all 5G connection circumstances.
By boosting connectivity,
performance, and battery efficiency, the new chipset is ready to transform the
5G smartphone industry.
In May 2023, a 5G
smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ is predicted to be available.
