Wipro wins infrastructure management contracts from ASSA ABOY
India: One of the largest lock
manufacturing companies, ASSA ABOY Group awarded Wipro its IT infrastructure
management and transformation contract to Wipro. The term of the contract is of
five years.
During the contract tenure, Wipro would
have to transform ASSA ABOY’s existing IT infrastructure by consolidating its
existing data centers located in EMEA region and deploy the cloud-based service
models – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
To provide the agile, user-friendly
solutions, and consumption-based service model; Wipro would utilize its Boundary
Less Data Center (BLDC) along with its IT infrastructure management suite to provide
seamless services to ASSA ABOY.
ASSA ABOY aims to improve the efficiency
of data centers by deploying Wipro’s BLDC offerings, as well it wanted to
establish a global delivery model based on Wipro’s ServiceNXT.
Currently, ASSA ABOY Group is present is
over 70 countries and has 44,000 employees.
