HCL Technologies partnered with Microsoft for its IoT Incubation center
India: HCL Technologies established
its ‘Internet of Things’ center with an aim to develop solutions for four key
verticals -Industrial, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, and Healthcare. The IoT
center is designed to build vertical specific solutions which can be used for
industrial automation, remote patient monitoring, fleet management, and so on.
The company has launched its incubation
center in partnership with Microsoft, the center will leverage Microsoft Azure
IoT suite to build its vertical focused solutions to enhance the adoption of
IoT among enterprises.
The IoT incubation center is the
combination of HCL’s rich heritage & leadership in engineering space,
product lifecycle management, system integration and infrastructure services
with Azure IoT suite. The center is located in Redmond, Washington, USA.
IoT WoRKS business unit head and
executive vice president, Sukamal Banerjee said that in the hyper-innovative
global environment the success depends on how fast a company can prototype and
bring solutions to the market for the customers. He further stated that
industrial IoT will be the next big revenue generation lever for the
enterprises across the world.
According to the consulting and market
research firm TechSci Research, the launch of the incubation center and the
alliance with Microsoft Azure is expected to support HCL Technologies in
developing the cost-effective, scalable, and customer-centric solutions in IoT
space.
