Technology giants to expand presence in Indian Market
India has become the magnet for the technological giants, recently Microsoft India announced to set-up center of excellence and Infosys to open its largest campus in India.
Microsoft Chief Executive Officer, Satya Nadella India visit brings the good news for the IT sector. Nadella was in Hyderabad yesterday and made some announcements which are anticipated to bring growth and innovation in the IT sector.
Microsoft India is planning to set up a center of excellence in Vizag, the forward looking step is the part of its digital inclusion drive in the state. The company signed the memorandum of understanding with the government of Andhra Pradesh. The MoU is to improve access, use and deployment of ICT for better citizen services. In addition, Microsoft India will support in the development of Proof-of-Concept (PoC) solutions by utilizing Microsoft Azure Machine Learning and Advanced Visualization in the fields of education, agriculture, and eCitizen services in the state. The PoC solutions would use the lab methods for data collection, analysis and policy planning.
Further, Microsoft India committed to train the government key IT executives on Microsoft technologies such as Mobility and Cloud.
Apart from the plans to set up center of excellence in Vizag, Satya Nadella said that the company would like to develop accelerators and start-up in the T-Hub which is a technology incubator with public private partnership between the government of Telangana, IIT-Hyderabad, Indian School of Business, Nalsar University of Law and some private sector organizations.
According to market research report “India Cloud Computing Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020” by TechSci Research, the cloud market is gaining traction in the Indian market. The report anticipates that the start-up ecosystem and large technology players along with the gradual cloud acceptance in the government sector will drive the market. The MoU signed between the government of Andhra Pradesh and Microsoft depicts that the cloud utilization will increase in the state.
