our portfolio in the hygiene space and address the growing requirement of hand

According to TechSci
Research, COVID-19 outbreak has boosted the demand for personal hygiene
products such as sanitizers and disinfectants. Entry of Asian Paints into
hygiene space is expected to rev up the demand for hand sanitizers in the
market. Growth of hand sanitizer market in India can be attributed to rising
awareness about healthy lifestyle & wellness, shifting consumer preference
towards convenient hygiene products and increase in disposable income.
According to the published
report by TechSci Research, “India Hand Sanitizer Market By Product Type (Gel,
Liquid, Foam and Spray), By End User (Hospitals, Households, Restaurants &
Hotels, and Others (Schools, etc.), By Distribution Channel (Pharmacies,
Supermarkets / Hypermarkets, Departmental/Convenience Stores and Others
(Online, Direct & Institutional Sales, etc.), By Region, Competition,
Forecast & Opportunities, 2025”, India hand sanitizer market
is projected to surpass $ 43 million by 2025 as sanitizer use is now being
treated as a major preventive measure to avoid spread of communicable diseases.
Moreover, growing consumer inclination towards health & wellness, rising
awareness towards health and hygiene, increasing per capita income, improvement
in living standards, new product launches and rise in health expenditure, etc.,
are few of the major factors leading to consumer increasing inclination towards
hand sanitizers. Consumers prefer hand sanitizers as they are more convenient
and handier to use when compared to soap and handwash. The reason behind this
is that sanitizers do not require the usage of water and evaporate after
disinfecting the hands. Apart from hygiene, some hand sanitizers also help in
hand skin’s moisture retention.
According to the recently
published report by TechSci Research, “India Commercial Sanitization Market By Product Type (Aerosol
Spray, Trigger Spray, Disinfectant Chambers, Others), By Application (Retail,
Office, Hospital, Hotel, Government Building, Tourist Spots, Others), By
Ingredient (Ethanol, Iso Propyl Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium
Hypochlorite, Chlorine Dioxide, Others), By Distribution Channel (Store Based
Vs Non-Store Based), By Region, Forecast & Opportunities, 2025”, India commercial
sanitization market is expected to grow at a substantial rate during the
forecast period. The India commercial sanitization market is driven by
existence of strict government regulations pertaining to the use of surface
disinfectants predominantly in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, hotels,
among others. Additionally, increasing awareness regarding hygiene and need for
disinfection is positively impacting the growth of market in the country. Also,
growing risk of getting hospital-acquired infections is further expected to
bolster the growth of market over the next few years.
