Myntra to Manage Mango Stores in India
Fashion e-tailer, Myntra, to get license
for distribution of brand Mango in India.
India: Fashion e-commerce retailer,
Myntra gets acceptance for licensing of distribution and management of Spanish
fashion brand Mango in India. The is the first time in India that an e-commerce
player will manage the omni-channel strategy for a global fashion brand.
As a part of agreement, Myntra will assist and facilitate
setting up 25 Mango stores and list the brand exclusively on Myntra and Jabong
platforms over the next five years. Mango has a network of around 2,200 stores
in 110 countries. The company, owns the MANGO Man, Woman, Kids lines.

depicts that Mango has been working with Myntra since 2014. The brand Mango has
been witnessing 100% growth in business perspective on Myntra platform in the
last 3 years and that has given confidence to the company to take the partnership
furthermore.
According to recent report published by TechSci Research, “India
E-commerce Market”, the country’s e-commerce market
is projected to grow at a CAGR of more than 36% during 2015-2020. E-services
segment, which comprises online travel, online payments, online classifieds,
etc., is expected to continue its domination through 2020. However, the e-tail
segment that includes electronics, apparels & accessories, health and
personal care, etc., is expected to witness significantly higher market growth
compared to e-services segment over the next five years. During 2015-20, the
western region is expected to remain the largest e-commerce market in the
country. Major players operating in India’s e-tail market include Flipkart,
Snapdeal and Amazon.
