Bharti Airtel join hands with Nokia to drive the
development of Internet of Things Devices and 5G Technology
New Delhi: Bharti Airtel
collaborated with Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer, Nokia, for the
evolution, introduction and management of Internet of Things devices in India
along with the focus of enhancing 5G technology. This collaboration aims at
exploiting the great potential that IoT devices possess and serve the nation
with its capabilities.
As a
part of this partnership, Nokia and Airtel will focus on leveraging Nokia's 5G
FIRST end-to-end 5G solution along with the AirScale radio access portfolio, which
includes AirFrame data center platform, to demonstrate 5G capabilities and
simulate use cases of 5G extreme broadband & ultra-reliability and low

TechSci Research depicts that to keep in
sync with advancing technologies, a transition from 4G to 5G technology is
mandatory. With the growth in the IoT industry, India needs to keep up at a
global level to compete with the global counter parts in terms of technological
developments. By implementing 5G technology, India can broaden its scope in
terms of overall development of the country in coming years.
According to recently
published report by TechSci Research,

28% during 2015- 2020. IoT is being rapidly brought into use across diverse
industry verticals to reduce operational and manpower costs, and increase
operational efficiency. Consumer electronics, automotive & transportation,
BFSI, home & building, energy & utilities, retail, supply chain &
logistic sectors, and manufacturing are the key emerging application areas
where IoT technology is majorly being adopted. However, India’s IoT market is
highly fragmented with numerous players operating across the value chain.
