Tata Motors to Launch New Light Commercial Vehicle in India

automobile manufacturer to launch updated versions of its existing model, Ace
India: Tata Motors is launching the updated
version of its successful model, Ace, which would be a slightly longer than the
existing one, to challenge its rivals which have been chipping away the
company’s share in the small commercial vehicle segment. The latest model is
designed to carry higher payload and is expected to be launched in April this
year.
In addition, with the introduction of new
models, the company is aiming to address the growing need of the transportation
industry, in terms of greater security, faster turnaround, comfort, better
capacity, overall value and reliability.
Moreover, Tata is still the marker leader
in the 1.0-1.25-ton light truck segment where the company’s Ace has been ruling
the market for past couple of years. The XL version of the new model would be
equipped to handle 15% higher payload and the new model also features a BS IV
diesel engine paired with power steering and new interiors.
As per TechSci Research, the launch of
the new version of company’s model would assist the company to cater the
growing demand for commercial vehicles in the country and maintain its strong
position in the market. The launch is further expected to increase the
competition among the top players in the small commercial vehicle segment. Furthermore,
with this upgraded model the company is likely to recover its market share that
was overtaken by current competitors.
