DENSO Associates with NEC Corp. for Autonomous Driving
Japan: NEC Corporation and DENSO
Corporation announced about their association in the field of automated
driving, manufacturing, and advanced driver assistance recently. Both the
companies would leverage on the experience of technology and manufacturing expertise
of DENSO, in the automotive industry. On the other hand, the companies would
also take an advantage of NEC’s security, internet of things, artificial
intelligence & several other technologies as well as the company’s
achievements in the field of operation and system architecture.
Further, NEC and DENSO would
develop secure and safe driving components with the assistance of NEC’s
artificial intelligence to develop hazard prediction technology in the fields
of automated driving and advanced driver assistance to estimate the performance
of deep learning approaches for hazard prediction.
In addition to that, both the
companies would enhance their products, systems, and technologies, resulting
from this cooperation and further build partnerships with other companies,
which would also share the same vision.
As per TechSci Research, the
cooperation between the two automotive giants, is further anticipated to
enhance the automotive industry by testing the authenticity of self-driving
cars across Japan. Besides that, the continuously expanding investment in the
autonomous car technology market, is further expected to fuel the autonomous
vehicle industry during the next few years.
According to a recent report
published by TechSci Research, “Global
Autonomous Car Technology Market Forecast and
Opportunities, 2035 – ADAS, Semi-Autonomous, Fully-Autonomous”, globally, the automobile
sector has been constantly evolving in terms of engine performance and design.
Apart from these parameters, evolution of autonomous features in passenger cars
is garnering attention of consumers across the world. Global autonomous car
technology market is primarily divided into three segments - Advanced Driver
Assistance System (ADAS) car technologies, semi-autonomous car technology and
fully-autonomous car technology. ADAS technologies are currently moving at a
brisk pace on account of rising inclination towards greater automation.
Moreover, fully-autonomous cars are expected to be commercially available by
2025, which is expected to translate into dramatic growth in the market.
