Tata CLiQ Launches Tata CLiQ Luxury E-commerce Platform
India: Tata Group has launched a luxury & premium fashion and lifestyle destination through its ecommerce
platform Tata CLiQ Luxury. The ecommerce
platform, will house a wide range of accessories and apparel for men &
women from luxury brands including Armani Jeans, Hugo Boss, Furla, Coach, Tumi,
G-Star, EA-UG and Michael Kors. In addition, Tata CLiQ will provide access to the authentic merchandise
directly from top international luxury brands to their customers.
According to TechSci
Research, the access to luxury
brands is scarce in India due to the limited availability of premium retail
real-estate. The launch of luxury
platform, such as Tata CLiQ would provide benefits to their consumers by
helping them to provide a curated assortment of the best luxury brands with the
most authentic brand experience. The
company is delivering the products across 6,000 pin codes across India which
would help in enhancing its consumer base across the country.
According to a recent report
published by TechSci Research, “India
E-commerce Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020”, the
country’s e-commerce market is projected to grow at a CAGR of more than 36%
during 2015-2020. E-services segment, which comprises online travel, online
payments, online classifieds, etc., is expected to continue its domination
through 2020. However, the e-tail segment that includes electronics, apparels
& accessories, health and personal care, etc., is expected to witness significantly
higher market growth compared to e-services segment over the next five years.
During 2015-20, the western region is expected to remain the largest e-commerce
market in the country. Major players operating in India’s e-tail market include
Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.
