Starbucks to use Artificial Intelligence in Upcoming 12,000 Cafes

States: Starbucks, an
American coffee house chain, announced its plan of adding 12,000 stores across
the globe by 2021. In addition, the company will soon unveil a new ordering
system, named My Starbucks Barista, which will make use of artificial
intelligence in its mobile orders and pay app.
Through this app, the customers will be
able to place orders through voice commands or messages. This app is expected
to initially roll out on limited beta iOS in early 2017 and will be accessible
to Android and other iOS users in late 2017.
Moreover, the company has also announced
to open nearly double the number of stores to 37,000 cafes in coming five years
to fulfil its global expansion plans.
