Kansai Paint to Acquire Helios Coatings Group

Two leading paint
manufacturing companies Kansai Paint Co. Ltd. and Helios Group have agreed to the terms and conditions for signing a
share purchase agreement. The two companies signed an agreement on 6th
December 2016, which would include the acquisition of 100% share of Helios
Coatings Group by Kansai Paint. This transaction is expected to complete within
two to three months after the
approval of from Antithrust Authority. Additionally, this agreement will
further make Helios as the European R&D, innovation and business
development centre for Kansai Paint.
TechSci
Research depicts this share purchase agreement will further help Kansai Paints to
strengthen its position in the European region. Since the company has a strong
penetration in Asia, Africa and Middle East market, this deal would result in enhancing
its presence of Kansai Paint in the global paints and coatings business.
