Mitas Add Five New Tire Sizes to its Harvester Tire Line
Europe: The renowned tire company,
Mitas, has expanded its Cyclic Harvesting Operation (CHO) range of tires with
five new tire sizes, wherein, two new tire sizes would be added by December end
and the other three tire sizes by the end of first quarter of 2017.
The company’s new CHO tire
sizes are designed for multi-usage purposes, such as, grain carts, combine
harvesters and many more. Its exclusive construction design is inclined with hexacore
technology, steel breakers and flexible sidewalls. Besides that, the tire also allows
to carry, comparatively larger loads, even at a lower tire pressure.
As per Product Manager of
Mitas agricultural tires, Pavel Kott, “Cyclic loads when filling and emptying
corn tanks, for instance, can vary significantly, by more than twice in some
cases. At high inflation pressures, this leads uncompromisingly to soil
compaction. The solution is a Mitas CHO tire as it is capable of carrying more
load at a lower tire pressure. Mitas CHO tires are a popular original fitment
preferred by major combine harvester manufacturers. The range extension of CHO
tires is a direct response to their needs and tire size specifications and we
now offer nine sizes of CHO tires on worldwide markets. An additional three
sizes will be released in first quarter of 2017.”
Mitas CHO brand new tires are
available in following sizes, i.e., 900/60R42 CHO 183D/186A8 SFT, 900/60R38 CHO
181D/184A8 SFT, 680/80R38 CHO 179D/182A8 SFT (2017), 800/70R42 CHO 182D/185A8
SFT (2017) and 800/70R38 CHO 181D/184A8 SFT (2017).
As per TechSci Research, Mitas
tires are gaining popularity all across European region. Also, by launching new
tire sizes for harvesting operations, the company, has targeted a specific set
of consumers for off-the-road (OTR) tire segment in Europe. Eventually, with
the growing demand for the company’s harvesting tires in the region, the sale
of Mitas tires is expected to infuse in coming years in Europe.
According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “Europe
Tire Market Forecast and Opportunities,
2021’’, tire market in Europe is projected to cross $49 billion by 2021 on
account of anticipated stabilization of crude oil price, expected rise in the
vehicle sales and expanding vehicle fleet. The vehicle fleet in the region is
dominated by the passenger car segment, followed by the commercial vehicle
segment. Consequently, the passenger car tire segment held the largest share in
Europe’s tire market in 2015, and its dominance is anticipated to continue
during the forecast period. Growing per capita income and anticipated increase
in the launch of new vehicle models are few of the key factors expected to
drive demand for passenger car tires in Europe over the next five years. Though
traditional retail stores are the most preferred mode of selling tires in
Europe but with the increasing internet penetration & advantages offered by
online tire selling websites, car owners in the region are increasingly
inclining toward online channels for purchasing tires.
