Sasol Expands its Polypropylene Production Facility in South Africa

Africa: Sasol, a
petrochemical giant, has revealed the C3 Expansion Project to increase the polypropylene production
capacity by 1,03,000 tons per
annum from its Secunda Chemicals Operations in South Africa. Sasol has made a
major capital investment of around USD70.41 million for its dual-regional,
multi-asset hub growth strategy in Southern Africa. The project started in 2013 and it aims at
debottlenecking of Sasol’s downstream polypropylene plants to improve overall
efficiency.
