China’s LingLong introduced Smarthome Speaker DingDong
China: Ling Long, owned by Chinese online
retailer JD.com, introduces Smarthome speaker which host customer voice as a
set of instructions. The device can understand mandarin, Cantonese and basic English
to respond to customer voice.
The device can also control light
switches, thermostats and other home appliances and are designed to work as a
primary interface to almost every feature of Smart devices. The DingDong work
on a single word or simple sentence and thereby it also shares details on
weather, set alarms or assists in maintaining a shopping list.
The price of DingDong has been set at
USD118 and products holds the capability to provide directions, play music and audiobooks
as well. The gadget weighs approx. 3 pounds and stands 9.5 inches tall, with
circular at the top and square on the bottom.
