Videotex International to Sign Partnership forum with Usha Shriram Enterprises
India: Videotex international is the original design manufacturer of
televisions, the company will soon sign the partnership forum with Usha Shriram
Enterprises to sell LED Televisions in India under brand name of “Usha
Shriram”. Videotex will take care of sales, manufacturing, marketing and as
well as after sale services of the products. Videotex is already manufacturing
LED Televisions for some of the leading brands in India.
Other than LED
Televisions, Videotex will also manufacture multimedia speakers for Usha
Shriram Enterprises. This will allow Usha to expand its products line in the
country. Both the companies will follow “aggressive pricing model”, which will
allow them to market more and more products in India.
According to TechSci Research, with
increase in disposable Income consumers are spending more towards more advanced
technologies to improve their life style. Advent of smart and internet
televisions Consumers has changed their preference from CRT television to LED televisions. Increasing consumer
awareness and preference for latest technologies model has increased the
customers ambition for the consumer durables products like bigger LED television and smart televisions. Moreover,
growing number of residential projects in India coupled with rising disposable
income has increased the demand for television in metro, tier1 and tier 2
cities. Most of the top manufacturers in
India, are focusing on developing LED televisions with latest technologies at
affordable prices.
According to a
recent report published by TechSci
Research, “India Television Market Forecast
& Opportunities, 2011–2021”, the television market in India is anticipated to
cross US$ 9 Billion by the end of 2021. LED TV segment dominated the country’s
television market in 2015, and the segment is anticipated to maintain its
dominance over the next five years as well. LED televisions are energy
efficient due to the implementation of various dimming technologies which save
power, or technology that turns off LED television, when not in use. Moreover,
LED television provides better High Definition (HD) picture quality and refresh
rate, in comparison to CRT and Plasma televisions. In 2015, south region was
the largest demand generating region of televisions, followed by west region.
