Titan Expands Product Portfolio with 'T-Hawk' ATV/UTV Tires
American
Tire Company Titan International Inc. adds new tires for Off Road vehicles
United
States: US based tire
manufacturer Titan International Inc. has expanded their product line for All Terrain
Vehicles (ATVs) and Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs) in the United States market.
The new tires known as ‘T-Hawk’ are featured with military-inspired tread
design and enhances road ability.
Several other features associated with
these tires include, longer wear and tear followed by quieter ride typically on
hard-packed surfaces. Additionally, the tires support high lug-to-void ratio
and flat tread profile.
The tires are designed in a two-belt,
eight-ply bias structure and are currently available in two sizes - 26x10-12NHS
and 26x10-14NHS in the American market. The tires have a speed rating of 50 mph
and supports a maximum load of about 960 Lbs. for 26x10-12NHS and around 940
Lbs. for 26x10.00-14NHS.
Steve Strauss, General Manager, Titan
Tire Corp. of Freeport says, “Its center riding rib make it a very smooth,
durable tire for hard-pack surfaces, but its aggressive outside lugs provide
excellent traction when needed, making it a solid all-seasons tire.”
TechSci
Research believes that the company is one of the popular brands in the United
States, however, by launching a new product line for Off Road vehicles in the
country, would give Titan an access to a significant customer base present
across United States. Additionally, the company would able to mark its presence
in a better way in the OTR tire segment across the region in coming years.
According
to a recent report published by TechSci
Research, “United
States Tyre Market
Forecast & Opportunities, 2020’’, replacement tire segment accounted for
more than 80% share in the United States tire market in 2014. However, the
share of replacement tire segment is expected to decline over the forecast
period, due to faster growth anticipated in the OEM tire segment. Passenger car
tire segment accounted for the largest volume share of more than 80%, in the
market in 2014, followed by light commercial vehicle, medium & heavy
commercial vehicle, OTR and two-wheeler tire segments. Major tire players
operating their tire manufacturing facilities in the US include Bridgestone,
Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin and Yokohama.
