Microsoft Launches First Cybersecurity Unit in India
India: Microsoft introduced its first cyber
security engagement centre(CSEC) in India to enable government and private
sector organization to deal with cyberattacks.
Cyber security engagement centre(CSEC) located
in Delhi seems to be one of the major initiative to focus on the spread of
malware by keeping a track on internet flow throughout the country. The
initiative was necessarily required as India recently faced highly vulnerable
cyberattacks on four leading debit cards affecting approx. 3.2 million
customers.
Microsoft cyber security team pinpoint
three major threats over the past few years which includes unregulated IT
asset, procurement of data and poor knowledge of cyber hygiene among
organizations. Government will also bring in public private partnership to
disseminate awareness in the field of cyber security to help organization
understand their security requirement.
