include research and development of electric two and three-wheelers,
establishing a motor assembly facility in Vadodara, Li-ion cell production, and
the development of ancillaries for raw material manufacturing. This strategic
initiative is expected to create over 5,000 employment opportunities within the
state, significantly impacting both the electric mobility sector and the
regional job market.
Commenting on the recent development, TechSci Research Director,
Mr. Karan Chechi said, “The country is witnessing an increasing acceptance of
electric vehicles, prompting major market players to engage in research and
development for the introduction of competitive products. This trend is
resulting in heightened investments in electric vehicle manufacturing within
the nation, with government initiatives playing a pivotal role in shaping and
encouraging such financial commitments. So, in the coming years, the market is
expected to witness multiple innovations in their products.”
