ZEE buys UAE’s oldest radio station HUM 106.2 FM
India: The Indian media conglomerate Zee
Entertainment Enterprises attained control of the UAE’s first radio station HUM
102.6 FM. Moreover, in 2008 ZEE had entered
into UAE with ZEE Aflam, a Bollywood TV Channel
The business pact has allowed ZEE to
mark its media presence across television, radio and digital. Further, this
would allow the company to increase its reach along with the market presence in
the entertainment industry. The deal is intended to allow ZEE to diversify its
entertainment business portfolio and offer synergy between content and the
different media.

concern of the entertainment firms to expand their product portfolio and
emphasis on the radio sector will help in the growth of the overall
entertainment sector.
