Aquapak Polymers to Launch a Complete Range of Water Soluble Polymers
United Kingdom: Aquapak
Polymers, a United Kingdom based manufacturers of polymers, has launched a
series of water soluble and biodegradable polymers. The company has taken five
years and invested as much as USD5.2 million to develop the portfolio. The
polymers are based on a patented technology and this technology can be a trend
setter for the future polymers and plastics industry globally. The firm is in
the middle of constructing a 5,500-square-meter factory, which would have
around 70 employees and would become operational in early 2017. The factory
would produce 30,000 metric tons of pellets used in the new film annually.
These polymers are water soluble, fully recyclable, biodegradable, compostable,
completely harmless in marine environments. Also, the water soluble polymers
can be used for multiple applications, have excellent barrier properties,
anti-static and impermeable to most solvents, oils and gas.
TechSci Research depicts that the new technology and the new product portfolio of
water soluble polymers is one of its kind. As the polymers are suitable for
almost every standard polyethylene equipment, it would easily substitute many
of the existing industry standard materials at equivalent cost. Moreover, its
multiple functionalities and applicability for different end user industries
would aid to the growth of water soluble polymers market in the country and
globally.
According to the recently published report by
TechSci Research, “US Water Soluble Polymers
Market By Type (Polyacrylamide, Guar Gum, Polyvinyl
Alcohol etc.), By End Use Industry (Water Treatment, Food Processing, Enhanced
Oil Recovery etc.), By Region, Competition Forecast & Opportunities, 2011-2025”, Water
soluble polymers market in United States is valued at around USD5.5 billion and
is expected to witness steady growth through 2025 on account of growing use of
shale gas reserves in the region with increased use of hydraulic fracturing and
drilling techniques, rising awareness about environmental concerns and the use
of coagulants and flocculants for water treatment along with rising demand from
food & beverage processing industries in United States. Moreover, use of
natural food additives, increasing use of cosmetics and personal care products
coupled with growing pharmaceuticals sector and rising awareness about
disposable waste management with developing trends of film packaging and green
packaging among individuals are the factors leading to increased use of
different types of water soluble polymers and are set to drive the water
soluble polymers market in United States through 2025.
