Grundfos Enters a Partnership with WaterAid to Tackle Global Water Crisis
Denmark:
Grundfos, one of the
leading pumps manufacturers has joined hands with WaterAid, an international
development charity. The five-year partnership plan between the two
organizations would focus on providing advice to some of the poorest
communities in the world on the use and maintenance of Grundfos water systems.
This partnership aims to make clean water reach everyone and everywhere by
2030. Grundfos and WaterAid will work together in order to introduce innovative
solutions and ensure lasting supply of clean water in the communities where the

water pumps market is expected to surpass USD54 billion by 2020. Centrifugal
pump is the dominant segment in the market, while positive displacement pumps
is the fastest growing segment. Region-wise, Asia-Pacific is the dominant
region for water pumps, with majority demand emanating from high growth
countries such as China and India. The market is highly fragmented in
Asia-Pacific, with many players in unorganized segment currently dominating the
market. Strong volume sales of agricultural water pumps, which are offered by
domestic manufacturers at lower price, are the key factor behind the
flourishing unorganized market.
