Weir Gabbioneta Opened New Manufacturing Facility in Italy
Italy: Gabbioneta, which was
acquired by Weir in 2005, is a significant provider of heavy duty process pumps
and maintenance services since 1897. Weir Gabbioneta which is a part of Weir
Group opened a new manufacturing facility with an investment of more than
USD33.76 million. The faculty is spread across 18,000 square feet, based in in
Milan, Italy. This facility will be involved in the manufacturing of
centrifugal pumps along with its support for products and services. The company
is expected to employee around 300 skilled people in the plant. The company’s new
facility will include testing of more powerful pumps and will cater to the
increasing demand from oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation
industries.
