Harley-Davidson Set to Launch Street 750 ABS Model in India

India: American motorcycle maker, Harley-Davidson is all set to launch Street 750 model enabled with ABS in India in November 2016. The Street 750 ABS is expected to be priced around USD 7500. The iconic motorcycle brand was made accessible to many bikers in India in form of the Street 750 previously.

Harley-Davidson recently revealed the latest 2017 edition of the Street 750 which is set to launch in India. The new model will be updated with ABS and have new colors for the 2017 specific model. The new launch has been updated on the company’s Indian website specifying that the model will be launched soon.

The inclusion of ABS is a good move by the company as Street 750 is believed to have a weak braking performance. In addition of ABS and new color options, there are no other significant changes which have been done on the existing Street 750. The bike will still be powered by the liquid-cooled, Revolution X motor producing around 60Nm of peak torque and 55PS of power with a 6-speed gearbox.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “India Premium Motorcycles Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020”, India’s premium motorcycles market witnessed a major turnaround with rapid increase in demand for premium motorcycles over the last three years. The country’s high net worth individuals and upper middleclass section of the population was further lured with the introduction of low priced domestically assembled premium motorcycles, thereby boosting premium motorcycle sales in India. With the trend of launching new motorcycle models at comparatively lower price tags by leading global players gaining increasing traction, the India premium motorcycles market is expected to grow at a brisk pace through 2020.

As per TechSci Research, introduction of new Street 750 is expected to expand the company’s portfolio in India which is further anticipated to support increase in company’s market share in the premium motorcycle market of India.
