Sound Energy Spuds Appraisal Well in Onshore Morocco

Morocco:  Sound Energy commenced the drilling of the second well named TE-7 at Tendrara, onshore Morocco on 25th August 2016 with objective of proving sufficient gas volume in the reservoir and to demonstrate benefits of sub-horizontal drilling in the region. The well is expected to be drilled, completed, and tested initially in a period of 94 days. The initial testing would be followed by an extended test to confirm the production sustainability as part of comprehensive field development plan.

TechSci Research depicts that the company’s drilling campaign in Onshore Morocco with further drilling activities as part of field development plan would lead to increased market for natural gas compressors. Gas transmission applications are typically powered by a reciprocating engine fueled by natural gas.

According to TechSci Research report, Global Natural Gas Compressors Market By Technology, By Application, By Region, Competition Forecast and Opportunities, 2011 - 2021”, the global natural gas compressors market is anticipated to cross USD5.5 billion by 2021. Based on technology, natural gas compressors are segmented into two categories - positive displacement compressors and dynamic compressors. Among these categories, positive displacement compressors form the most preferred natural gas compressors category, predominantly due to their low cost and increasing use in gas gathering and processing.
