preparing to launch K702 plus range of tires for cold climatic conditions.
Austria:
Kraiburg is
planning to launch its new K702 plus range of tires for their fitment in city
buses. These tires have some excellent qualities like exceptional braking and
traction features. The tires are made for snow covered as well as wet road surfaces.
Moreover, these tires are capable of delivering high mileage. Further, the new
tire model offers even levels of wear and tear at lower operating temperature
owing to the usage of K-plus compounds. In addition to this, usage of irregular
tread further reducing the noise associated.
“Our new
tread fully meets our developmental goal of low operating costs together with
high safety and optimal mileage. Its high quality and gut price-performance
ratio makes it very attractive for regional applications,” said Christoph Priewasser,
product manager, Krieburg Austria.
According to
a recent report published by TechSci
Research, “Austria Tyre Market
Forecast & Opportunities,2020”,
passenger cars and two-wheelers are anticipated to collectively account for
more than 80% of the total automotive sales in Austria in 2020, followed by
light commercial vehicles, medium & heavy commercial vehicles and OTR
vehicles. However, highest growth over the next five years is expected to be
exhibited by light commercial vehicle tire segment, followed by passenger car
tire segment, OTR vehicle tire and two-wheeler tire segment. Passenger cars
account for the largest share in the country’s vehicle fleet, followed by
two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. The same trend is expected to continue
over the next five years as well, because of which passenger car tire segment
is expected to dominate Austria tire market during the forecast period.
TechSci Research believes that, introduction of new tires in
the winter tire line would expand the product portfolio of the company, which
is anticipated to support the market share of the company in Austria tire
market.
