Qualcomm Signed Patent License Deal with Vivo for China

Delhi: Qualcomm, Inc.
signed strategic patent license deal with Vivo, a China based smartphone maker company
responsible for the development, manufacturing and sale of 3G CDMA, CDMA2000
and 4G LTE devices. However, the patent license agreement binding to Vivo is
for use in China only.
Under the royalty bearing patent license
agreement terms, Vivo would develop, manufacture and sell 3G CDMA, CDMA2000 and
4G LTE devices, which includes “3-mode” GSM, TD-SCDMA and LTE-TDD devices for
use in China.
TechSci Research depicts that increasing
number of handheld devices such as smartphones, tablet, etc. along with growth
in demand for 4G LTE devices with improvement in telecom network infrastructure
and growing data traffic over mobile devices has propelled need for new
innovations and capabilities in handheld devices.
According to the
