Development of technology pertaining to UPS will promulgate its business in MEA region

Dubai: Schneider electric has launched a new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) known as Gutor PXC which is considered to be most suitable for harsh environment in the gulf region. The improved technology of UPS is ideal for use at oil & gas exploration sites, marine and offshore environments and climates with extreme temperatures. The UPS is used as a source of power in industries to ensure that production does not get hampered due to power shortage or lack of proper electricity supply.

TechSci Research finds out that due to increasing penetration of new technology & systems, rising internet penetration and expanding trade & tourism sector, the market for UPS will increase between 2016 and 2021. The economy in Middle East and Africa region are highly dependent on oil and gas exploration and production. The requirement of regular supply of power on oil & gas exploration & production sites can be met by UPS.

According to the recent released report by TechSci Research “Middle East & Africa UPS Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2021”, the market for UPS in Middle East and Africa region is projected to register sales of 4.2 million units by the end of 2021. Emerson Network Power is expected to continue its leadership position in Middle East & Africa UPS market, followed by APC by Schneider Electric and Eaton Corporation Plc. The enhancement in UPS technology is a big boost for its business which will result in increasing adoption of the same in near future.
