Custom Synthetic Fibers LLC plans to open a recycled polyester fiber plant in Alabama
Alabama,
United States: Custom
Synthetic Fibers LLC has announced plans to open a recycled polyester fiber
plant in Rogersville, Ala. The equipment is expected to be installed by the end
of this June and operations beginning by early July. The company is owned by a
group of investors, including the majority owners of Custom Polymers Inc. and
Custom Polymers PET LLC. The investment on the new facility is around USD6
million. The initial plans include production of 40 million pounds of recycled
polyester staple fiber per year and will target the automotive, home
furnishing, industrial, apparel and consumer goods markets initially. In order
to allow for future expansion plans, plant has been designed accordingly and it
would boost total production by an additional 80 million pounds if needed. The plant
will produce high quality recycled polyester fiber by incorporating recycled
polyester raw materials.
TechSci Research depicts that
the methods used
to produce the fiber are environment friendly and cost effective. Moreover, the
state-of-the-art technology would let customers benefit from fiber to meet
their stringent quality and consistency requirements. More benefits create more
demand and more production. Increase in production of polyester will increase
the demand of plasticizers which are used in the production process of
polyester. Hence, expanding
polyester industry is projected to drive the market of plasticizers across the
globe.
According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “Qatar Plasticizers Market By Type, By Application,
Competition Forecast and Opportunities, 2011-2021”, market
for plasticizers in Qatar is projected to growth at a CAGR of 9.75% during 2016
- 2021. Expanding packaging industry in the country is expected to augment
demand for plasticizers from films & sheets industry in the coming years.
In addition, increasing construction of modern structures involving use of PVC
based flooring, roofing and wall covering, along with construction of stadiums
for FIFA World Cup 2022, is expected to boost consumption of plasticizers in
the construction sector through 2021. Demand for plasticizers from pipes &
fittings industry is also expected to escalate due to increase in government
expenditure on drainage systems in the urban & semi urban regions of Qatar.
