Microsoft offers its window platform to partners for mixed reality experience
United States: Microsoft, a U.S. technology giant made
a major announcement for the virtual reality and augmented reality market. The
company has opened its windows software which is already deployed across the
wide range of augmented reality devices including HoloLens; is open for
partnership with augmented and virtual reality headgear manufacturers.
Devices
which would built on windows software platform will be interoperable. For instance, a user of HTC Vive
virtual reality gear would be able to
virtually visit and collaborate with other user who use HoloLens virtual
reality goggles.
HTC,
Lenovo, Asus, and HP are already working with the company. In addition, by
sharing the windows platform that enable various manufactures of augmented
reality and virtual reality gear to
work with one another.

and augmented reality manufacturers, Microsoft will open a new gateway for mixed
reality and provide a new experience to its users of HoloLens. As well, it is
expected that the prices of reality gears would decrease.
