BASF Opens New Construction Chemicals Facility in India

BASF, a
Germany based global chemicals giant, has inaugurated a concrete admixtures
manufacturing facility at Kharagpur, West Bengal. This new facility marks
BASF’s sixth construction chemicals plant in India and would enable the company
to cater the growing demand for construction chemicals in the Eastern India
owing to the close proximity to Kolkata, Bihar and Odisha. The concrete
admixtures products which would be manufactured at this facility would include
product ranges such as, MasterPel®, MasterRheobuild®, MasterGlenium® and
MasterPolyheed®. Additionally, underground construction chemical solutions,
such as MasterRoc®, would also be produced at this facility.
TechSci Research depicts that
commencement of this new facility in Kharagpur by BASF would complement the
existing construction chemicals plants of the company located at Nalagarh. Thane, Turbhe,
Mangalore and Nellore, thereby strengthening the position of the company in the
India construction chemicals market.
