Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company Plans to lay 6,000 km of Gas Pipelines in Iran
Iran: Iran Gas Engineering and
Development Company (IGEDC) has planned to construct 6,000 km of gas pipelines
nationwide in the coming years to improve the gas transportation business. There
are about 10 natural gas transmission stations which are under construction and
the company is planning to construct 36 more transmission stations in the
coming years.
TechSci Research depicts that the construction of new pipelines and
transmission stations would encourage natural gas distribution companies of
Iran to invest in leak detection equipment influencing the growth of global oil
and gas pipeline leak detection market. The project will lead to increased
demand of hydrostatic testing, infrared, and laser technology equipment’s for
leak detection.
According to released report of
TechSci Research, “Global Oil & Gas Pipeline Leak Detection Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020”, the global oil & gas
pipeline leak detection market is projected to cross USD1.8 billion in 2020. Government
of various countries have formulated regulations and standards, for reducing
the after effects of oil and gas pipeline leak detection, which specify
dedicated methods for oil & gas pipeline leak detection, which companies
are required to abide with. These standards have made
deployment and maintenance of leak detection systems a compulsion, thereby
fueling growth in oil & gas pipeline leak detection market.
